I lost 20 points in 2016. Although I have gained it all back, at least it took 2 years for this to happen, I am on a mission to loose and keep it of forever. To me, this is called dieting for life. In my research to be healthier, I have come across some recipes I would l like to share. Here is one that is from the Mayo Clinic Diet and just in time for a cozy rainy night. July, 29, 2018 Hi all! Thought I would share some information about what to eat for healthy living. I relocated to Dallas and finding a Whole Foods around the corner is non existent. But I did and it is worth the time and travel. For those days when I do not have time to go, I shop at my local store but only buy organic fruits and vegetables and organic meats like chicken and wild sea foods, never farm raised . Here is a link to an article I found helpful about what not to eat! http://dailyhealthremedies.com/10-everyday-cancer-causing-foods/8/ Also, a short video to help us along: 6 Superfoods for Cancer Prevention: Dr. Robert Scott Bell https://youtu.be/GGCFE5ZJhvY Now, get your taste buds ready-here's where to start to lower risk-Happy Eating! https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/cancer-fighting-foods Patricia Briscoe

Good Morning, It has been a while. A lot has transpired. I retired from the United States Postal Service. I survived another bout of cancer-double mastectomy and healthy as a horse. I work out 6 days a week about 1-2 hours a day. Working with Preschoolers during the day so now I am on vacation, more time on my hands to be creative. Singing and guitar lessons are on my agenda in addition to learning how to use my Mac computer. I am on a mission to eat better and come up with a routine for double mastectomy survivors. I find that there is not too much out there about this topic since our bodies are all so different and heal in its own individual way. From personal experience, I am finding that the old exercise routines of yesteryear have to be tweaked for my new body form. So, I am slowly establishing a simple routine that hopefully all can benefit from. Stay tuned. The quest has begun. 😀😀 Patricia
